What is a CSA & how does it work?

As a White's Family Farm Share Holder, you can expect to receive ultra-fresh food, straight from the farm,  with all the flavor and vitamin benefits (no waiting a week or more for produce to get to your Grocery shelves).  You will know exactly where your food comes from.
You will develop a relationship with the farmer who grows your food and will learn more about how food is grown.

Another huge benefit of becoming a Farm Share Holder with White's Family Farm is knowing how your food is irrigated.  We have a Fresh Water Spring that flows from a cave on our farm.   Our spring test results show it to be a very clean, pure source, so you won’t ever have to worry about vegetables that carrying salmonella contamination.

You can also expect to be exposed to new vegetables and new ways of preparing and storing your food.  (Recipes will be included.)

This year we will have options to add on Beef & Pork or Wine & Cheese.

We will also plan a "Community Farm Day" to give you an opportunity to visit our Farm.  This day is normally toward the  end of the growing season.   We will Celebrate a bountiful harvest with food and special farming events.

For over 25 years, Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) has become a popular way for consumers to buy local, seasonal food directly from a farmer.

Here are the basics: White's Family Farm offers "shares" to the public. The share consists of approximately 24 boxes of fruits & vegetables.  Consumers purchase a share (aka a "membership" or a "subscription") and in return receive a box (½ bushel box) of seasonal produce each week throughout the farming season.  (May thru October)
This arrangement creates several rewards for both the farmer and the consumer.
